Senoma Isabel Abraham, 98, passed away in her sleep on December 11, 2020. Born in Joice, Iowa of Lebanese immigrant parents, Charles and Lena Alberts Abraham, she was the ninth of ten children. An outstanding student, she attended Luther College as a nursing student until she was called home to work in the family's general store because her brothers had been called to serve in WWII.
In 1945, Senoma married Joseph S. Abraham of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They moved to Aurora, CO in 1955 and were married for 58 years when he passed away in February 2003. The love and guidance they provided for their family will live on as their legacy. They are survived by their children, Phyllis Dickhart and husband Gary, Doug Abraham and wife Susan, and Jim Abraham and wife Victoria Hartman; grandchildren, Julie Dolhun Adamson and husband John, Jeffrey Dickhart and wife Brooke, Jaimie Abraham VanEssen and husband Jeremy, Katie Abraham Wright and husband Sean, Jennifer Abraham and fiancé Tara Palko, Jessica Smith, and Stephanie Smith; and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Kaylee and Anabelle Dolhun, Kendel and Kameron Adamson, Ryan, Andrew and Josie Dickhart, and Elliana and Adelyn VanEssen.
Her passion was her family, her interests and talents were many. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was the Parish Secretary for many years. She loved cooking, gardening, golf, bowling, Bingo, word searches and jigsaw puzzles, card games and slot machines. She walked three miles a day until a fall left her wheelchair-bound at age 95 and was best known for her skills as a seamstress and for the beautiful items she knitted. As a library volunteer she was the beloved "Grandma" to the children of Vaughn School.
Mom, Grandma, Sittee, Aunt Senoma, Friend - whoever she was to all who knew her, she was loved and will be missed.
