Sharon Gay Campbell

March 13, 1954 — December 15, 2021

Sharon Gay Campbell, 67, of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully with her sister Susan at her side, Wednesday, December 15th. She was born in Denver to Richard and Wilma Bruce.

She attended South High School and then worked her entire career in the automotive industry. Most recently for Tynan and Emich Volkswagen until she retired.

She loved spending time at home reading books and drinking coffee with her beloved little dog Callie. She had a passion for cars and loved to watch the drag races; she even raced at Bandimere Speedway on one occasion! She enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, bingo, and day trips with the Aurora Recreation Center. She had a wild and crazy personality and loved God and politics. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.

Sharon is survived by her son, Paul Rees; her sister, Susan Sotack and her husband Dean; her nephews Jeff Sotack and his wife Kristina; Nathan Douglas, Luke McElroy, and his wife Kelly; her nieces Lindsay Hahl and her husband Travis; Nicole Enck and her husband Josh.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jay Dicus; her parents Richard and Wilma Bruce; her Aunt Beverly; and her sister Janet McElroy.
