Sharon passed away on March 10, 2022. She was born in Monte Vista, Colorado on November 26, 1949 to parents Alfred Tito Martinez and Katie (Duran) Martinez..
Sharon was a beautiful, strong, independent woman. She loved family, outdoor activities; camping, Native American dancing, bowling and more. She was married to Jessie Gonzales, and then later was remarried to Joe Romo, II. She was the mother of five children, Alfred, Sheila, Sherrie Jo, Jo Jo and was preceded in death by son Matthew whom she is now reunited with in Heaven. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly as well as her sister, Patricia Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Stan Martinez, Joseph Martinez and Vivian Martinez.
She taught us all at an early age to have faith in Christ Jesus who died for her and for all the sins of the world, who has risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of God our Father.
Sharon worked with children, the elderly and as a Hospice CNA until she retired. At family functions or holiday meals she would be the first and the last to leave the table and would always want a plate to take with her...
She was loved and will be missed by many. Enjoy Heaven Mom!
