Sharon enjoyed a wonderfully rich life before her untimely passing on Friday December 21, 2007 at age 67. Sharon was born February 26, 1939 to Edward and Mae (Hietela) Aho in Detroit Michigan. Sharon graduated from Plymouth High School in 1957 and attended Michigan State. She worked at Michigan Bell, as a telephone operator, and then at Western Electric before moving to Denver, Colorado. After moving to Denver, Sharon married and was later divorced from Ken Pfannenstiel, who passed away June 24, 2006.
Sharon spent 25 years working for Mountain Bell/Qwest, as an internal communications specialist and retired in 1995. Sharon was always learning and in 1995, she went back to school to finish her degree at Metropolitan State College, she received a BA in Behavioral Sciences.
Sharon loved the performing arts, especially the ballet. She enjoyed volunteering for various organizations and also spent time as a volunteer for the Museum of Natural History. Sharon was a devoted member of Mile Hi Church and found it a place of community and comfort to her over the years. She enjoyed traveling, being with friends and believed in natural healing.
She was a wonderful and loving mother to Trevor Pfannenstiel and his wife Beatriz, Shannon Lemon and her husband Mike, and her three grandchildren, James and Sheree Pfannenstiel and McKenzie Lemon. She was the sister of Dave Aho and his wife Gloria. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Memorials contributions in memory of Sharon may be made to the Colorado Ballet.
Memorial Services, Friday 3:00 P.M. at the Mile Hi Church, W. Alameda Ave. & So. Garrison St., Lakewood, CO., with a reception to follow.
