Sharon Lea Weaver

Sharon L. Weaver, age 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 16, 2020, following an abrupt and tragic cancer diagnosis. Her final days were spent at The Denver Hospice Care Center, surrounded by family and friends.
The oldest of four children, Sharon was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 1, 1938 to the late Virgil and Bess Kuehn. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she graduated high school and began working for the Mutual of Omaha. Her job moved her to Denver in the late 50's, where she then married, moved to Arvada and raised her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul E. Weaver and her sister Judith Probasco both of Denver, Colorado.
A loving mother of three, and a remarkable cook, Sharon enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She even catered events for those who loved her cooking so much, that they wanted to share it with guests on their special day. She loved to read, her dachshund Scooter, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her brother Daryl, sister Shirley and her children, Stacy Wallace, Brian Weaver, Jill Gechter and their spouses. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Neil, Grant, Garren, Otto and Iris.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at Jefferson County Fairgrounds. 15200 W. 6th Ave, Golden, CO at 1 pm in Exhibit Halls 1 and 2. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharon's name to The Denver Hospice Care Center 8299 East Lowry Blvd. Denver, Colorado
