Shawn James Spano, 32, of Denver, died on August 28th, 2018. He was born to Victoria Morgan and Roger Thomas in Denver, Colorado on January 10, 1986. Shawn graduated from Ridgeview Academy in Denver after winning the schools highest culinary achievement and went on to cook in numerous restaurants in Denver and surrounding areas.
Shawn started watching cooking shows as a child, before there were cooking channels on television. His favorite show was Yan Can Cook. He would learn to cook using the Emeril cookbooks that his mother bought him as a youth. Many consider cooking the passion of Shawn's life.
Shawn also loved fishing and would often fish with his older brother Brandon at Hidden Lake in their small green boat. His family remembers him as a happy, funny, and sarcastic person who loved being outdoors and doing things for others.
Shawn would grow up to have a beautiful daughter named Brielle that he loved more than anything in his life. His loving mother said, "he would have given her the world if he could have!"
Not only did Shawn love music, specifically Hip Hop, but he also loved comedy and even proudly performed at a few stand-up comedy clubs over the years.
Shawn had a very special relationship with his sister Brittany and his long-time girlfriend Danielle. He was survived by Father Roger Thomas, Mother Victoria Morgan, step-father Jordan Keaton, Daughter Brielle Spano, long-time girlfriend Danielle Halterman, Brothers Brandon Spano, Josh Strange, JJ Strange, Cameron Strange, Chase Strange, Bradley Strange, Jordan Thomas, sisters Brittany Spano, Jackie Strange, Triana Strange, Darlene Strange, Bianca Keaton, Jamie-Lynn, grandmother Susie Thomas, and John Strange.
Shawn was also survived by four nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles that he adored, and over 50 loving cousins as well as Brielle's mother Tanisha Randall.
