Sheila May (Lytle) Bullock
February 21, 1947 - August 11, 2020
After several years of decreasing health, Sheila May (Lytle) Bullock passed away peacefully at Swedish Medical Center. She was 73. She is preceded in death by daughter (Celeste), her brother (Steven), father (Glen) and mother (Tekla). Sheila is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ken Bullock; son, Scott Bullock, daughter Kendra (Mike) Wamsley; grandchildren Nick Chester, Joey Chester, Emmalee Wamsley and Mackenzie Wamsley; as well as her sister Mayrene Bargas; and various nephews and cousins.
Born in Scottsbluff, NE, Sheila moved to Colorado at a young age and attended West High School, where she met her future husband Ken. At the tender age of 16, love struck and they were married not long after. They settled first in the Ruby Hill Area of Denver then moved to Southwest Denver where they raised two well-loved children.
Sheila was an amazing & talented seamstress who lovingly made hundreds of baby quilts, booties, afghans, Christening gowns... so very many people had "Nana blankets" that were passed down generation to generation and loved literally to pieces. She had quite a successful business selling things as "Granny Goose". She was often found sitting in her chair crocheting, until it became too much for her hands.
Wife, Mom, Nana, Sister, Aunt, seamstress, nurse, child care provider, corny joke teller, yard sale lover, organizer, stretcher of pennies, confidant, helper of others, coordinator of family holidays, sounding board, giver of advice, baker of chocolate cherry whipping cream cakes, teller of stories, family historian- Sheila has been loved and will be greatly missed by many.
A private memorial picnic will be held at a later date. If you would like to make a donation in her name, please do so to the charity of your choice.
