Sherry C. Maes

March 18, 1952 — July 18, 2020

Sherry C. Maes, 68, of Denver, died Saturday, July 18, 2020.

She was born to John A. Olguin and Elsie Galvan on March 18, 1952 in Trinidad, Colorado.

Sherry graduated from Denver West High School in 1970.

She is survived by her mother, Elsie Olguin; her siblings, Peggy Seaton and Gary Olguin; Shelley Grant, her daughter; Collin Grant, her grandson and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends she called family.

Sherry was a United States Postal Worker for thirty years. Also, in her down time, she cleaned houses, delivered the newspaper and took care of her grandchildren, "Nephews", before and after school.

Sherry was very social. She could light up a room filled with strangers and leave the room with new friends. Her loving kind nature was received by many that knew her. Sherry took a lot of pride in her cooking, decorating her home for the holidays, yard, cars and most of all raising her daughter, Shelley. She loved her family and extended family. She enjoyed the children's parties and her tea parties with her closest friends. Sherry will be missed by many.

Services will be held at Newcomer's West Metro Chapel, but due to Covid-19, only immediate family members can attend. We will have a reception starting at 3:00 pm at the Olguin/Seaton Home, 2707 So. Osceola Way, on Monday, August 3, 2020.
