Shirley Ann Brown, 86, of Aurora, Colorado passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022. Shirley was born in Stuart, Nebraska and graduated from Rock County high school in 1953. In December 1953 she married Robert J. Brown who passed away 12 years ago to the day.
Shirley had several occupations. She was a school teacher, a cook for ranch hands, Tupperware lady, and an Avon representative for 30 years, but most importantly she was a loving wife and mother of 5. Traveling was something she enjoyed. Shirley has been to many states including Alaska and Hawaii. Also to Canada, Mexico, and Germany. She was a charter member of Smoky Hill United Methodist Church and involved in the book
club, the women's group, a member of the care team, as well as the Avon Presidents Club. She was also an avid Bunco player.
Shirley is survived by 5 children, Steve Brown and wife Dee of North Platte, Nebraska, Harvey Brown and wife Rosalie of Tucson, Arizona, Ronald Brown and wife Jonel of Surprise, Arizona, Connie Brown and husband Frank of Aurora, Colorado and Stacie Schneider of Aurora, Colorado. In addition there are 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ernie Hasch and wife Betty of Bassett, Nebraska,
as well as sister in laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations for her memorial or to Smoky Hill UMC. Connie Brown will be accepting donations at 3338 S. Nucla Way, Aurora, Colorado 80013.
Services will be August 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
