Shirley M. Haver 77, of Denver, formerly of Kansas City, a homemaker, died March 27, 2002. Services will be private. There was cremation.
She was born, Shirley Ann McGinness, November 23, 1924, in Kansas City, Missouri. On April 11,1947, she married Darrell L. Havener in Kansas City. She attended the University of Kansas where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Soroity. She was a 50 year member of the Pi Bet Phi Alumnae Club of Kansas City, Missouri/Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was a member of the Village Church, Prairie Village Kansas.
She and Mr Havener moved from Kansas City to Denver in 1996 when he retired.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Pi Beta Phi Educational Foundation, 6420 High Drive, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, 66208 or the Hospice of Metro Denver, 425 S. Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Havener Greer of Denver; her son, Darrell L. Havener, Jr. (Peggy) of Littleton; three grandchildren, Matt and Annie Greer and Bryan Havener and her sister, June Stearns of Kansas City. Mr Havener predeceased her on March 7 of this year.
