SHIRLEY RUTH HARWOOD
September 25, 1929 – May 26, 2009

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord May 26, 2009, at her daughter's home in Adams County, Colorado.
Shirley was born September 25, 1929, at the family home in Boone, Colorado, to Charles and Mary Bell.

On September 1, 1948, also in Boone, Colorado, she married Carl C. Harwood Jr. who preceded her in death on October 12, 1993.

Shirley's life was dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ, her Savior and to her family. She stood side by side with her husband, Reverend Dr. Carl C. Harwood, Jr. in helping serve and build his ministry as president of a Bible school and serving as the senior pastor of Denver area churches. Shirley was a devoted Sunday school teacher, women's leader and mentor. She especially enjoyed helping children and children ministries all her life.

Shirley is survived by her son David Harwood and wife Mary; grandson Joshua Harwood and wife Laura and great granddaughter Lily; granddaughter Dr. Sarah and husband David Kelley; daughter Ruth and husband Robert Everett; grandson Andrew Everett and wife Mandi and great granddaughter Nancy; grandsons Peter and Jeremy Everett; daughter Martha and husband Gary Baker, granddaughter Katie Baker, grandson Matthew Baker; son Hudson Harwood and wife Dalene, granddaughter Shawnee Stapleton, grandson Charles Harwood and wife Monica, great grandson Isaiah, step great grandchildren Adriana, Pariss and Luke; granddaughters Tiffany and Stephany Harwood, grandson William Harwood; sister Pauline Molineaux; brother Oliver Bell; sister and brother-in-law Ruby and Billy Renstrom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Bell; husband, Rev. Dr. Carl C. Harwood, Jr.; brothers Harold and Rueben Bell; daughter Nancy Harwood and son Daniel Harwood.
