Shirley Jean Sramek, 89, was born on June 24, 1932 in Denver, Colorado and passed away on November 30, 2021 in Lakewood, Colorado. Their marriage would span 61 years and together they traveled to all 48 contiguous United States. During her lifetime, Shirley worked for Montgomery Ward, United Bank of Denver and Denver Public Schools. She enjoyed the art of ceramics and made beautiful hand-painted pieces for those close to her. Shirley was known for her large holiday gatherings and had a flair for entertaining. She had a great appreciation for a good cocktail and a bawdy joke, making her the life of the party. Shirley was an active member of the Red Hats, as well. She is survived by her daughter Debra Vega and her husband Jim of Virginia and her son Robert Sramek and his wife Amber of Colorado. Shirley had a special relationship with her grandchildren Jennifer Thornbloom (John), Wesley Sramek and Victoria Zemlan (David). She was also blessed with four amazing great-grandchildren, Merryn and Theia Sramek and Henry and Burke Zemlan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Wray, father Charlie Wray, younger twin brothers Ron Wray and Don Wray and husband Raymond Sramek. Her final resting place will be next to her husband at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
