Shirley Jean Zimmerman

Shirley Jean Zimmerman of Aurora Colorado, 74 years of age passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday December 6, 2022 at Aurora South Medical Center.

Shirley was born on July 22, 1948 in Loveland Colorado to the late Reuben and Rose Strasheim. She was the second oldest of four children and was preceded in death by her brother David Strasheim.

Shirley married Harold Zimmerman on June 19, 1971 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish in Northglenn Colorado, and two children were born from this union. The family lived in Aurora Colorado from 1971 to current.

Shirley loved to read, crochet, go camping and fishing with her family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, quilting, waterskiing and enjoying a pina colada now and then. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

She worked at St. Anne's Episcopal School from 1985 to 2008 when she retired from the school food industry.

Shirley is survived by her husband Harold, her two daughters Melinda Crawford and Amie (Jeff) Santistevan, her granddaughter Rylee and her two sisters Mary (Brian) Comstock and Anna (Larry) Caywood and host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
