Sofia R. Young of Aurora, Colorado, went to heaven on March 9,2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil D. Young , son-in-law David Merrell, sisters; Mary, Viola, Rosy and brother Tony. She was born to the late Jose and Esther Salazar on June 21,1938 in New Mexico. She grew up in Salt Lake City , Utah then moved to Aurora, Colorado where she worked at a printing company until she retired.
She is survived by her children; Joe Maestas (Karen), Phyllis Merrell, Sharon Nicholas (Paul), Brad Maestas and stepson Michael Young. She had 6 grandchildren; Elisha, Phil, Michael, Phillip, Ashley and Kailey. She also had 9 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
