Soraida C. Velasquez

Soraida C. Velasquez, age 91, of Thornton, Colorado passed on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. She is survived by her children: Cathlene (Anthony) Lopez, Gary Velasquez, Cindy Martinez, Valerie (Joe) Baca, Carol (Daniel Contreras), and Jeff (Cindy) Velasquez; 16 grandchildren: Julie, Mike, Johnny, Jess, Deanna, Melissa, Chris, Desri, Joseph, Jr., Isaac, Jacob, Danelle, Nicole, Naomi, Passion, and Jeff, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Benny Tafoya; sister, Vangie Mondragon and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home from 6-7pm with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 11am with burial following at 1pm at Ft. Logan National Cemetery Meet at Staging Area A by 12:50 pm.

Following services and the burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, the reception will be held at His Love Fellowship, 910 Kalamath Street in Denver. If you are dropping off food for the reception, the doors will open at 10:30am on Tuesday.
