Stanley Decker

Stan was a strong Christian loving his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, he was actively serving at Eastern Hills Community Church in Aurora. Stan volunteered briefly with the camera crew, and was actively involved with the security team. He took a mission trip to Venezuela where he engaged with kids, repaired and painted buildings, and helped install a new water system.

Stan taught and led boys as a commander for Royal Rangers, where they learned camping, outdoor and survival skills. He participated in Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF), an advanced program through Royal Rangers for those who demonstrated exceptional outdoor survival skills. Stan was also a leader in the Air Rangers program taking young men through ground school.

Stan had many hobbies. He was interested in photography, reading, steam trains; He often went hiking, snowshoeing, and bowling. Stan enjoyed singing, animals, and caring for plants.

Stan loved his family, but his grandchildren were wrapped around his finger. He enjoyed paintballing with his older grandsons, camping & backpacking with family & friends, taking a spin on his motorcycle, riding through the Rockies on his bicycle and being outdoors. He loved to learn all he could about WWII, particularly the aircraft. He was always willing to learn; helping others in need was a passion and he was a gifted encourager. Stan loved God. He was a devoted husband, loving father and doting Papa to five amazing grandchildren.

Stan is survived by his wife, Ann, of Aurora, CO his children, Michael Decker and wife Jennifer also of Aurora CO, his daughter Kristin Ransom and husband, Travis of Kotzebue, AK, and his grandchildren: Jonathan, Landen, Ryleean, Elijah, and Adora.

Stan is also survived by his sisters Sharon Farmer of Salem, OR and Shelley Griffith of Clearfield, UT, along with their families.
