Stephen D. "Duane" Mitchell, Jr., 70, of Denver, passed away at home on July 31, 2020.
Born to Stephen D. Mitchell and Verna R. "Ruth" Mitchell in 1949, Duane spent the majority of his life in Denver, CO. He was a graduate of South High School in Denver, CO, and attended college in the Denver area.
Duane worked for the US Postal Service for many years. He was a computer wiz. However, his true love could be found in the kitchen. Duane was an excellent chef and baker. Duane was best defined as a "teddy bear" due to his large size and easy-going personality.
Duane is survived by his sister, Victoria (Mike) Vogelsong, of Muskegon, MI; special friends Ronald L. Neal and Karen Westbrook; his dog Sweet Pee; several nieces and a nephew.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, Stephen D. Mitchell, his mother, Verna R. "Ruth" Mitchell, his brother, Jesse L. Mitchell, his long term partner and dear friend, Bobby "Scott" Manley, and his cherished dog Luves.
