Stephen Joe Miranda

On October 28, 2023, Stephen Joe Miranda, 93, of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Cecilia Miranda at his side.

Stephen was born on December 26, 1929 to Randolfo Santana and Natalie Miranda in Bombay, India. Stephen was one of five siblings, three boys, Hubert, Vernon, and Stephen, and two girls, Veronica and Gloria. During Stephen's upbringing he enjoyed singing in the choir, dancing, etc.

Stephen and Cecilia got married on April 15, 1961 in Bombay, India. Stephen was working for a German company and Cecilia was a nurse. In the year of 1962, Marshall and Cedric were born to Stephen and Cecilia. In 1982 Stephen and Cecilia moved to Grand Island, Nebraska and raised Marshall and Cedric there. In 1994, Stephen and Cecilia decided to move to Denver, Colorado to be closer to their grandchildren and assist with the family business. Twenty nine years later Stephen and Cecilia considered Denver their forever home.

A family restaurant was established in September of 1993 in Cherry Creek, with the love and support of Stephen and Cecilia. Much of Stephen and Cecilias time consisted of helping out at the restaurant and spending time with their grandchildren. Cedric and Nisha Miranda have three daughters, Priyanka, Christine and Jennifer. Marshall and Rohini Miranda have three children, Andrea, Naina and Anand. Stephen and Cecilia adore their grandchildren and devoted much of their time to their grandchildren's upbringing.

Stephen was a hardworking, humorous, loving, compassionate and caring individual. He loved drawing, coloring, singing, dancing, fishing, and all of his tools. Stephen enjoyed the company of others and was liked by many. He enjoyed listening to Jim Reeves and watching CNN in his freetime. Stephen had such strong love for his grandchildren and animals. Stephen enjoyed the little things in life such as home cooked meals, time with his wife, sons, grandchildren, feni, etc.

Stephen enjoyed traveling and visited London, Canada, and Kuwait. In mid 2023, Cedric took both Stephen and Cecilia to India as one of Stephen's last wishes, where Stephen was able to see his birthplace one last time. The doctor told us that Stephen only had two months left to live, and by the grace of God, we were able to have three more months to spend with him.

In Stephen's earlier days, both he and Cecilia were devout churchgoers, able to attend Sunday mass, however over time when they were not able to go they would say the rosary everyday together. Stephen was a firm believer of God.

Stephen was predeceased by father Randolfo Santana, and mother, Natalie Miranda and siblings Hubert, Vernon and Veronica and Gloria.

He is survived by wife, Cecilia Miranda, children, Marshall and Cedric Miranda, and grandchildren, Andrea Miranda, Priyanka Miranda, Christine Miranda, Jennifer Miranda, Naina Miranda, and Anand Miranda.

Stephen was and will always be loved by many. We love you Stephen, God Bless You.
