Stephen M. Peterson

Steve Peterson, Sr., aged 68, of Aurora, CO, passed away on June 11, 2024. Born on November 23, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island, Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of few words, but always had a soft spot in his heart for his grandchildren.

Steve proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years before honorably retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking for his wife, shooting pool, and watching golf on television.

He is survived by his wife, Viki Peterson (nee Wheat), children Stephen Peterson, Jr. (Jennifer) and Kimberly Spilman (Ryan), and grandchildren Evelynn, Graham, Margaret, and Emilia. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gertrude (nee Geary) Peterson.

A memorial service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236 on Monday, July 8th at 10:30 a.m.
