In loving memory of Steven Paul Baumann, 57, who peacefully passed away in his sleep, on July 13, 2023 after a lionhearted battle with cancer.
Born in Farmington, New Mexico, on September 15, 1965 to John Bradley Baumann and Marie D. Baumann. Steven, fondly known as Steve, was number 7 out of 10 brothers and sisters. He grew up in Denver, Colorado and later moved to Grand Lake, Colorado.
Steven was an artist and creator at heart. From his pencil drawing to crafted boomerangs, to wood burning and portrait sculptures, his gifted creativity was endless.
In 1990, Steve met Mary with her seven-year-old daughter, Sunny.
Steve and Mary went on to get married and have children Lucas, Katie, and Hannah.
One of Steve's biggest achievements in life was being a father and grandfather. He always made sure that his children knew that they were loved unconditionally. He will be fiercely and deeply missed.
Steve is survived by his immediate family of Mary Baumann, and children Sunny (grandchildren Bailey and Gracie), Lucas, Katie (grandchildren Kaydyn, Sunny, K'loey, Maxy, Tristan, and Lydia), and Hannah (grandchild Sulton).
He is also survived by his mother Marie Baumann, and siblings Michael (wife Wendy), Be, Catherine, Beverly, David (wife Sally), Carrie, and Kennith (wife Yuka), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Steve was predeceased by his father John Baumann and brothers Jim and William.
Dad, when we were kids goodbyes were always so hard. To ease the process of saying goodbye you created a handshake we would always look forward to, and that would ease the pain of not being together. But how lucky am I to have someone I loved so much that makes goodbyes so hard? We love you Dad. Hugs, Kisses, High Fives, and Hammers.
There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart." - Mahatma Gandhi
