Steven Sewell Draper, 66, of Lakewood Colorado. He left us Thursday December 3rd 2020.
Steven was born to the late Robert and Ruth (Norby) Draper, June 1st 1954 in Denver Colorado and preceded in death by the love of his life Billie Sue Franek. He attended Lakewood High School and was a Retired Master Cummins engine and Class 8 Truck Technician.
Steve worked in the transportation field his entire career. He started with the City of Lakewood out of High School, Stanley Structures, Cummins Rocky Mountain and then Rush Truck Center Peterbilt until May of 2020 when he proudly retired.
Steve unselfishly stood by Billie's side for many years as her partner and caregiver, they had 27 wonderful years together. He valued people and relationships. He always had a smile and something funny to say. He was a kind, gentle, compassionate and sentimental man that knew what it meant to work hard and sacrifice for his family. He had great love for his family and friends, you knew it from his bear hugs and he would simply tell you. Steve also liked to have a good time with friends and family and did so as much as possible.
Steve is survived by: Larry Draper (Brother) Robert Draper (Son) and Amy Parker (Daughter) his grandchildren whom he loved very much Cassandra, Breana, Cierra and Nathan.
We will hold a celebration of life in early June, Amy and Robbie will release details, as it gets closer. Steve will be placed in his resting spot at Crown Hill Cemetery, Thursday December 17, 2020 at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, we request that you post pictures of Steve on his Facebook page for all to see. Spend time with your parents and children (however you have to do that right now), make memories, take pictures and tell them how much you love them.
