Steven E. Schaeffer

Steven Earl Schaeffer, age 72, passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on October 8, 2021. He was born on September 16, 1949 in Holyoke, Colorado to Earl Wesley Schaeffer and Elizabeth LaRue Johnson. Steve had recently become passionate about his health and physical fitness. He was an enthusiastic learner and a compassionate friend to those in need.

Steve worked as an automobile mechanic in both Colorado and Florida then worked with his father in Earl's construction business in Platteville, Colorado. Steve pursued degrees in Building/Construction Site Management from AIMS Community College and a BA in Construction Management from Colorado State university after his father's death. While in school he cared for his mother. After her death he moved to Westminster, Colorado where he worked as the Lead Estimator at RIO, LLC. He worked this job while continuing his education. He received a Diploma from Ashworth College for Property Management in 2013.

Steve is survived by his sister, Lynette Schaeffer, brother Karl Schaeffer, brother Owen and his wife Ria, nieces and nephews, and many other loving family, friends, and neighbors.
