Steven E. Seim, age 77, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025.
He was born on December 11, 1947, in Huron, South Dakota, to Harriet and Elwood Seim. Steven proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, carrying the values of service and dedication with him throughout his life.
After his military service, Steven settled in Colorado, where he built a career with the State of Colorado, retiring after more than 30 years of dedicated public service.
In 1976, Steven married the love of his life, Lupe. Together, they raised two daughters, Stephanie and Stacie, who were his pride and joy. He adored spending time with his grandsons, sharing stories and lessons from his remarkable life.
Steven had a passion for classic cars, especially his Corvette, and he enjoyed gambling trips to try his luck. He also took great pride in his yard, spending countless hours perfecting his lawn and ensuring it was always in pristine condition.
Steven is survived by his daughters, Stephanie and Stacie (and their spouses), his beloved grandsons, Jarvis Jr. (19), Johnathan (17) and Victor (3). His sister, Helen and several cousins he considered brothers.
He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Harriet and Elwood, and his beloved wife, Lupe, who passed before him.
Per Steven’s wishes, no formal service will be held. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Lupe, at Black Hills National Cemetery in South Dakota.
Steven will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and his dedication to the simple joys in life. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and cherished memories that will be carried forward by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Steven. Your journey is complete, and you are home once more.
