Susan K. Jackson was born on June 16, 1954 in Casper, Wyoming to her parents, Robert Ward Taylor and Delora (Thornton) Mottley. She was the third of six siblings: Sonja, Sheryl "Shorty", Robert "Mike", Quintin, and LeeAnn.
On October 11, 1975, Susan married Joe Neal Jackson in Denver, Colorado. Together, they shared 25 years of marriage and raised two daughters, Nicole and Aisha, Joe passed away in 2001, but later in life, Susan found love again with Mr. Oather Moore, her devoted companion and life partner.
Affectionately known as "Chick Chick" to all who knew her, Susan was truly one of a kind. She had a vibrant and colorful sense of fashion, always stepping out in style with elegance and flair. The only thing sharper than her outfits was her wit -- unmatched by most.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Robert Ward Taylor, and her brother, Robert Michael Taylor.
She departed this life on March 20, 2025 in Aurora, Colorado, leaving behind cherished memories for those who loved her. She is survived by her devoted companion, Oather Moore: her loving children, Nicole (Dewayne) Glenn and Aisha Jackson; her mother, Delora Mottley; her sisters Sonja Grant, Sheryl (Jeffrey) White, and LeeAnn Crisswell; brother Quintin Durst and her sister-in-law Jill Taylor.
She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, Shaqem (Kylie), Elleyjah, Shania (Mikhile), Keyshawn, Courtnee (Bockarie), Joshua, Jada, and Brittany.
She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Delrick Webb and Eli Doublin.
She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Though she is no longer with us, her love, laughter, and unmistakable presence will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
