Suzanne Kathleen (Hicks) Kramer was born April 18, 1930 to Charles E. Hicks & Katherine F. (Bontz) Hicks in Peoria, Illinois. Her family moved to Lakewood, Colorado in January 1943 when Suzanne (Sue) was 12 years old. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1947 and then attended the University of Denver. She later moved to Estes Park,CO. where she worked for the National Parks Service and met her future husband, Kenneth, who worked for the Stanley Hotel. They were married in March, 1954 and moved to Lakewood later that year, shortly before the birth of their first child. Kenneth worked for the Denver Water Department and Suzanne worked for the Bureau of Mines as a Payroll Clerk until her retirement in 1985. They settled in Arvada in 1956 where they raised their three children: Kenneth David, Dale Charles and Denise Sue.
They enjoyed family activities such as camping, fishing, spending time in the Rocky Mountains as well as bowling and pinochle.
After Kenneth's death in 1996, she returned to work for Soundtrack Electronics and then retired for the second time in 2005.
She passed away on January 2, 2008 at the age of 77 in Littleton, Colorado. Funeral services will be held on January 8, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Lakewood, CO. and burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
The family is comforted in knowing that Suzanne had accepted Jesus as her Savior and is now resting in God's loving arms.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth B. Kramer. She is survived by her children & spouses: David (Ken) & Kathy of Castle Rock, CO, Dale of Northglenn,CO and Denise & Rob Hammond of Kittrell, N. Carolina. She is also survived by her sister and husband, Phyllis & John Goodenberger of McCook, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
