“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” —Abraham Lincoln
It is hard to put into words how much someone like your mom means to you. Teresa (mom, mother, mum, moom, mumzies) was truly an amazing person-kind, funny, selfless, and genuinely good. She worked hard, loved her family, and enjoyed the simple things in life. She also had the best sense of humor, always making silly jokes or stirring the pot. Teresa was taken too soon from this world, and life just won’t be the same without her in it.
Teresa Lee Zody, 69, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on April 18, 2024 after a four and a half year battle with cancer. Teresa was born on April 14, 1955 in Douglas, Minnesota to Joyce and Richard Strunk. Growing up, she moved around the country with her family, including her older brother, Mark, and younger sister, Susan. After settling in Arizona, she graduated from Moon Valley High School in 1973. She worked at Yellow Front where she met her husband, Curtis Zody. They married in 1974 and went on to have 4 pretty great children: Justin, Jeremy, Skyler, and Stacey. She also had 4 grandchildren who she loved dearly; Trinity, Sullivan, Brixton, and Verona. Teresa loved being a mom and grandma. In 2022, Teresa retired from Costco after 31 years. During her time there, she made many wonderful friends and memories, and was continuously recognized for her hard work and excellence. Since retiring, she spent her time reading, hanging out with family, and relaxing outside. Teresa fought hard against her battle with cancer, and left this world surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband, 4 children, and 4 grandchildren.
