Terry Lea Aleksick of Arvada passed away April 24, 2020. Survived by her husband Mike Aleksick of Arvada, sister Linda Stickler and family of Florida, preceded in death by her parents Howard and Anneliese Pruitt of Louisville KY. Terry and Mike met in June 1998, upon meeting they both realized they were meant for each other and began dating the very next day, and were married on New Year's Eve in 1998.
Terry worked in the commercial insurance industry since graduating from High School at age 17, starting as a policy typist and working her way up to being the Commercial Lines Manager at an agency where several employees reported to her. Terry also worked as an Account Manager and Senior Account Manager at various insurance agencies in the Denver area, and worked in the same capacity at various insurance agencies in Louisville Kentucky prior to moving to Colorado in 1994.
Terry formed lasting friendships at every insurance agency where she worked, many of those friendships continued for years after she left the agency. Terry was known for being ethical, professional, smart, kind, funny, honest, strong, supportive, intuitive, helpful, and caring and was always willing to assist someone in need. Terry chose her friends carefully, and was often the most loyal friend of those whom she chose to befriend. Terry was usually the "go-to" person when something needed to get done and contributed greatly to the success of each insurance agency where she worked. She always enjoyed a challenge, and could often pull a rabbit out of a hat and find insurance coverage for a client when nobody else was able to do so. Terry worked hard and was rightly very proud of her accomplishments during her career.
Terry enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, casinos, cruises, spending time with friends and family, and caring for our two Miniature Schnauzers Nick and Pepper, who were her constant companions.
In lieu of flowers or cards please make a donation in Terry's memory to a charity which supports breast cancer treatment and research, or a charity which supports Alzheimer's disease treatment and research, two causes which Terry strongly supported.
Terry was deeply loved by all of her family members and friends, her passing has left a huge void in the lives of those who loved her, a void which will be impossible to fill. She made a lasting impression on everyone she knew, and will forever be remembered.
