Thelma Virginia Peacock

85, died April 17, 2007 at Porter Hospice. She was born in Greeley, CO on November 29, 1921. As a teenage bride during the Great Depression, she and her husband were part of the desperate exodus to California to find work and loved to tell interesting stories to her relatives and friends about those hard times. She was preceded in death by her firstborn, a daughter, Virginia, who died at the age of 7, and by her husband, Jack Peacock, in 1985. She is survived by 2 sons, Gary Lee Parks of Sacramento, CA and David M. Parks of Cincinnati, OH, 2 grandsons, Jesse and Eric Parks of Cincinnati, a special friend and nephew, Tracy Fifer of Lakewood, CO, and all 5 of her siblings; Helen Wall of Tupelo, MI, Gene Jacobs of Loveland, CO, Ann Jacobs of Colorado Springs, CO, Victor Jacobs of San Diego, CA, and Mary Jacobs of Kanab, UT, and by many nephews and nieces and numerous friends.
