Theodore Grant passed away peacefully in his home January 14, 2024. He was born in Fort Riley Kansas to Leona Leonard and James Grant. They moved to Des Moines Iowa in 1945. There he completed his formative years.Ted served in the US Air Force and completed his years of service with an honorable discharge. He returned to Iowa and entered college at Drake University. He met and married the love of his life, Georgia ( Bell), and moved to Denver Colorado to raise their family. He finished his Master degree in Fine Art at Colorado University and worked as a Cartographer / Artist until he retired.
Ted had a very dynamic personality with a contagious laugh. He was lively, charismatic and loved being the center of attention.Ted's hobbies included painting, fishing and gardening. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing tennis and bike riding.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leona (Leonard) Grant and James Grant, brothers, James and Jack Grant, sisters, Agnes Brewton and Marion Mcguire. He is survived by his wife Georgia ( Bell), children, Terry Grant, Kelly Thatch, Cathie Shead ( Kenny) and David Grant, sisters; Beverly Williams and Phyllis Thomas, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; also a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family of Theodore Grant wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support during this profoundly difficult time. Your kindness and compassion have been a source of comfort to them.
