Thomas G. Noonan, 76, passed away on Saturday August 7th with his wife & children by his side. He was
born to Agnes and John Noonan in Madison South Dakota and grew up in the quaint town of Howard, SD. ("Howard's Humming") Thomas graduated from St. Agatha's and would go on to earn two master's
degrees, one in accounting and the other in music.

Thomas enlisted in the Air Force in 1965 and would serve three years in the 2063rd Comm Sq in Wiesbaden, West Germany where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a proud Vietnam era Veteran and was a member of both the American Legion & the Vietnam Veterans of America.

In 1975 he moved to Fort Collins, CO where he met his wife, Martha. Together they would raise three children, and later welcome three grandchildren to their family. They were married for 39 years.

Tom was a man of many talents and was lucky enough to make a career out of his aptitude for all things music. He was an avid player and student of the banjo, guitar and mandolin. He would perform as the banjo player in Against the Grain, a bluegrass band, in the 80s and 90s and would continue playing and teaching music throughout the 90's and 2000's. He went on to found the non-profit Colorado Contemporary Music College in Fort Collins.

The burial for Thomas will be held at 9:15 am on Wednesday, August 25th at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
Please arrive at Staging Area C by 9:00am.

There will also be a Celebration of Life service held from 2-4pm on Thursday, August 26th for Tom's friends & family at Avogadro's Number in Fort Collins, CO. After 4pm the patio will be open and the celebration may continue as a bluegrass jam.
