Thomas Flood Tardy, 75, of Henderson Colorado, died Monday July 12th. He was born November 1, 1945 in Chicago IL. The family then moved to Olatha, KS where they lived for many years. The family eventually moved to Littleton CO in 1960 where he graduated from Littleton High School in 1965. He then enlisted in the United States Coast Guard which took him on many adventures. He served guard at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which he was very proud to have been chosen for. Tom was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard in 1969 and returned to Littleton CO to begin his civilian life.
Tom worked his way up at Mountain Bell; from an entry level start at laying lines to retiring in upper management decades later. In his early years at Mountain Bell he was awarded The American National Red Cross Certificate of Recognition for saving a person's life. Tom was eventually able to retire from US West. Tom had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor and was known to tell some great stories. He was a hard worker and could fix almost anything, he was always willing to teach you what he knew and he was good at it.
Tom is survived by his wife: Barbara Tardy, his two children: Thomas Tardy (Stephanie Tardy) and Kim Lee (Greg Lee) His Grandchildren: Dylan Lee, Tyler Lee, Katryna Tardy, Nicholas Tardy and Brayden Tardy; His siblings: Edmond Tardy,Nanette Babyak, Eugene Tardy and Jim Tardy his stepdaughter and her two children: Linette Burke, Timothy Burke and Jacob Burke. He is preceded in death by his siblings Timothy Tardy and Suzanne Zemites.
