Thomasyne Walton Arterberry was born January 4th, 1938 to Osie and Alberta Walton in Dolomite, Alabama, to a wonderful family of 5 children.
Thomasyne was educated in Dolomite where she excelled at the top of her class in every subject. She went on to attend Miles College where she graduated valedictorian with a degree in accounting.
During her time in Alabama she met the man that would become her husband of 60 plus years, David Arterberry, of Fairfield, Alabama. Together, Thomasyne and David moved to Colorado to build an amazing life and a beautiful family that included the adoption of their two children, David R. Arterberry, and Debra D. Arterberry.
Thomasyne was visible and active in her communities of Denver and Littleton, Scott United Methodist Church where she served for 60 years, and retired from her job at Kellogg Oil and Gas Company.
Thomasyne had a passion for western cowboy shows which "Gunsmoke" was one of her favorites. She also was an avid music lover with a well known obsession for the singer, Al Green. Thomasyne was also an amazing cook known to "put her foot" in every dish she made including her well-known gumbo that fueled the hearts of family and friends during the holidays.
Thomasyne was preceded in death by her father and mother, Osie and Alberta Walton, her siblings Osie (Jack) Walton Jr., Lanie Walton, Clarence (Sonny) Walton, and her daughter, Debra D. Arterberry. Thomasyne leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband David (Dave) Arterberry Sr., a loving son David (Dirk) Roosevelt Arterberry , two fantastic and much-loved grandchildren David (Boo) Wardell Arterberry and Jade Thomasyne Arterberry, a brother, Raymond Walton (Helen), as well as a host of many other dear relatives and friends.
