TILMON WILLIAMS

Was born on April 4, 1930 and departed this life on March 8, 2007 after a long illness.

Tilmon was a devoted husband of 53 years to his loving wife, Willa.

He was born in Memphis, TN to Mary Lucille and the late Tilmon Williams, Sr.

Tilmon served 23 years in the US Army. He served in Europe and the FarEast on his many assignments. He was affectionately known by his fellow veterans as "Buffalo Soldier."

Tilmon was a devoted father of five children: Ronald, Choarron, Carol "Cookie", Tilda, and Jackie Mae. His children loved his southern cooking, his jokes and well-told stories (and there were many).

Tilmon was the grandfather of four grandchildren: Tilmon, Andre, Chaz, and Tiana.

He was the great grandfather of Arianna, Jubilee, and Kirslyn.

The legacy Tilmon leaves behind is that he worked hard all of his life, and took very good care of his family throughout their journeys all over the world. It was always important to Tilmon that the people he met and came in contact with enjoyed life and had a good time. He loved jazz music and had a flair for fashion. He was known to be a real "Cool Cat."

In addition to his wife Willa and children he is survived by his mother Mary L. Williams, brother Gene Coleman (both of OnoAlaska, WI.), his best friend and mother-in-law Mary "Big Mama" Darden (from Chicago, IL.), aunt Myrtle Jean Williams (from Indianapolis, IN.), numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
