Timothy Allen Jones November 1, 1953 – January 17, 2010 Resident of Denver
Tim passed away at his home in Denver, CO with his family present. He was born in Pamona, California and grew up in Denver, where he attended South High School and earned two degrees from Red Rocks Community College.
He was one of four children born to the late Harvey L. and Mary Joyce Jones and was the beloved husband of Sherry Elaine Jones for over 30 years. Tim will forever be remembered by his brothers Rick and Randy; children Barry Michael, Timothy Matthew, and Chandra Marie; grandchildren Malea Evangelina, Sophia Marina, and Jolene Riley Jones; and in-laws Wensie Jones and Tracy Jones, along with countless other friends and family who were fortunate to know him. His sister Brenda preceded him in death.
Tim worked with his brothers in his father's machine shop in Denver. He was a fuel systems mechanic in the US Air Force, stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he met his wife. He co-owned Jones Brothers Engine Exchange, was a supervisor at Gates Rubber Company and Howco Industries in Broomfield. At RTD, he was a mechanic and instructor. He co-owned Tim and Sherry's Auto Repair in north Denver with his wife and children and was a mechanic for the US Postal Service.
There will be no services. A memorial will be held in the spring in the garage that Tim designed and built.
