Toby Rosendale was the only child of the late George and Maye Turner. She was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where she pursued her love of dance by opening her first dance studio at the age of 18. She moved to Aurora, Colorado, where she opened "Toby Porter School of Dance" and raised her four children. She also worked at Continental Airlines for almost 20 years in reservations.
Toby was very creative, as was evidenced by her many talents in art, music, dancing, singing, gardening and interior design. She loved her neighbors and her friends at Heather Gardens, as well as those in the Red Hatters and the NoteAbles (singing group.)
Toby was married to Walt Porter, Neville Barclay and Wilbur Rosendale, all of whom predeceased her.
Toby is survived by Vicki Ferrarello (Joe), Doug Porter (Chele) and Michael Porter (Karen.) Her first-born daughter, Lori Cross (Dennis) sadly predeceased her in 2016.
Grandchildren: Cana Miller, Tiffany and Mike Mathews, Cassi and Chuck Bursich, Lindsey and Tommy McKoy, Aaron Rosso, Justin Ferrarello, Matt Porter, and Eylisch and Kylie Porter.
Great Grandchildren: Desmond Hubbard, Tye Miller, Jack and Mia Mathews, Madison, James, Joseph and Norah Bursich, Vivienne McKoy and Thomas McKoy VI.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 2pm, at Newcomer East Metro Chapel, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO, 80011. A reception will immediately follow the service.
