Tommy Joseph Roberts, 75, of Lakewood, passed away January 2, 2018.
He was born July 7, 1942 in Casper, Wyoming, the son of William and Ruth (Alkire) Roberts.
He was a graduate of Natrona County High School. When Tommy was younger, he was a Boy Scout, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and also participating in The Order of the Arrow. He also served in ROTC at Natrona County High School but rheumatic fever prevented him from serving his country after graduation.
On December 15, 1978, he married the "best" love of his life, Patty.
Tommy loved anything trucks and sports (except soccer). He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Tommy would take "the boys" to the races and attend many of their sporting events. He will be remembered as a hard worker, a good father and husband, and a loyal friend. Tommy loved to travel once Patty got him to the airport. He fancied himself a gardener, growing ONLY tomato plants and jalapeno peppers. Tommy owned the family's coveted "Most Boring" award, which was going to the Spruce Goose and Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patty "Penguin" Roberts; two sons, Scott (Tanya ) Roberts, Daniel Husted; three daughters, Terri Roberts, Susan (Mark) Kreutzer and Vicki (Christopher) Browning; four grandchildren, Dustin Browning, Keith Kreutzer, Travis Browning and Jason Husted; two brothers, William "Tip" (Susan) Roberts Jr. and Patrick (Maya) Roberts and many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends including close friends Gabriel and Kathleen Guetlein and family.
He is preceded in death by father, William Arthur Roberts, Sr.; mother, Ruth L. Roberts and two sisters, Rita and Ruth Ann.
