Toney John Salva
77, of Aurora, CO went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2010. He is survived by his wife: Darlene (Leahman) Salva; 2 children: Toney Salva of Cranberry Township, PA ; Tina (Salva) Gonzales of Aurora, CO; 4 Step-Children: Susan (Cagle) Brower of Spring Valley, CA; Alan Cagle of Greeley, CO; Thomas Cagle of Aurora, CO; Laurie (Cagle) Warwick of Parker, CO; 15 beloved grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Toney was born in Fall River, MA in 1933. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran from 1950-1953 serving in the Korean War and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1955 serving in Vietnam. He played catcher for the 1963 USAF Softball Champions and retired as a SSGT in 1971. Toney earned an Assoc. Degree in Sociology from Denver University in 1977. Toney worked for the U.S. Post Office from 1973-1976 in Providence, RI and from 1978-1993 in Aurora, CO before retirement. He gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1999.
Toney enjoyed: softball, golf, boxing, wrestling, watching his Denver Broncos, playing pool and poker. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He will be deeply missed.
