A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, nana, cousin, and friend, Tonia Walton, left this world at 50, on October 26, 2021. She was born to Beverly and William Carabelos on June 27th, 1971, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Tonia graduated from Beth Eden High School in 1989 and attended Barnes Business College. She married Robert Walton in 1990 and lived in Florida, Indiana, and Illinois before settling in Loveland, Colorado where she finished raising her two beautiful children.
Tonia began her career as a pastor's wife when Robert became a pastor of children's ministry. She worked closely alongside Robert to help bring many students to Christ. She would often reminisce with friends and family on the fun games, pranks, and laughs that she would have with the children. To this day, there are many students who reminisce on the impact that Tonia had on their life. After the ministries, Tonia became an Office Manager for State Farm, where she welcomed all who entered with the brightest smile and an infectious spirit.
Tonia is survived by her parents Beverly and William Carabelos, her husband Robert Walton, her two children Ariel and Austin Walton, her daughter-in-law Emily Walton, and her brother Brian (Kimberly) Carabelos. She is also survived by her two favorite grandsons who she cherished greatly, Damon and Hudson.
Tonia will be remembered by her silliness and laughter that could brighten anyone's day in the matter of a moment. She was optimistic and found the good in life, which always encouraged everyone around her. Tonia valued relationships with family and friends, but above all she valued her relationship with Jesus Christ. We know that Tonia is rejoicing in Heaven, and for those of us in Jesus, we cannot wait to be with her again.
When you think of Tonia, celebrate the good memories you had with her. She will always be loved and always be missed.
The funeral will be held at Beth Eden Baptist Church on December 18, 2021. The viewing will precede the funeral at 10:00 am, and the funeral will begin at 11:00 am. Proceeding the funeral, there will be a short memorial at the Olinger Cemetery- Crown Hill. After the funeral and memorial, there will be light refreshments at Beth Eden Baptist Church.
