Tyrone M. Robinson, a cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on July 28, 1963, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Isabeth Marie Moss and raised by the late Tommy Simmons. Tyrone lived a life full of kindness, love, and dedication to his family, friends, and the causes he believed in.
Tyrone was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always offering a helping hand and a listening ear to anyone in need. His genuine warmth and unwavering support touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Tyrone spent his early years in Wichita, Kansas. In 1971, the Simmons/Robinson family moved to Denver, Colorado. Tyrone attended Smiley Jr. High School, where he discovered his love for music and started a band with friends. Throughout his school years, Tyrone kept a hustler's attitude, always dressed to impress with suits and a briefcase, and was an exceptional student and a star athlete in track and basketball. He graduated from George Washington High School. After finishing school Tyrone joined the corporate world.
Tyrone's professional journey was marked by hustle and excellence. He demonstrated an exceptional ability to solve complex problems and drive success. His colleagues admired his expertise and often sought his guidance, knowing they could rely on his insightful advice. Despite his professional achievements, Tyrone remained humble and grounded.
Tyrone was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Debra Ann, whom he met in 1984 and married in 1990. Together they raised two boys De’Wayne and Darnell. In 1995, Tyrone was blessed with a daughter, Jayla Robinson of Oklahoma. Tyrone gave his all to his family because that was the kind of person he was.
Tyrone's interests extended beyond his professional and familial duties. He had a profound love for music and sports, often spending time with friends and family enjoying them both. His love to gather brought joy to his family and friends, creating cherished memories that will live on forever.
Tyrone's legacy is one of love, wisdom, and selflessness. He leaves behind a community enriched by his positive attitude, a family strengthened by his unconditional love, and countless individuals inspired by his example. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, serving as a beacon of hope and kindness.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Isabeth Simmons. As well as brothers Glen, Michael and Gregory. He is survived by his wife Debra Ann; his children: De’Wayne, Darnell and Jayla; his sisters: Tommycine Henderson, Valerie Tayler and Shelia R. Robinson; his brothers: Sheldon L. Robinson and Tommy Lydell Simmons; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on April 17, 2025, at 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral home in Aurora, CO, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Tyrone's remarkable life. Tyrone's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. We are grateful for the time we had with him and will cherish the memories we shared. Tyrone Robinson, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Your spirit will live on in the lives you touched and the hearts you warmed. Thank you for being a shining example of kindness and integrity. Rest in peace.
In this time of mourning, we take solace in knowing that Tyrone lived a life full of purpose and love. His legacy will remain an enduring source of comfort and inspiration. As we say our final goodbyes, we hold onto the lessons he taught us and the love he shared, promising to keep his memory alive in our hearts.
