Vera Gomez

Vera Gomez, age 95, passed away on February 4, 2024, in Northglenn, Colorado.

She was born on December 1, 1929, in Ault, Colorado, to Rufina Torres and Juan Rodriguez. Vera is survived by her loving husband of 72 years Albert Gomez and her daughters Kathy Frances McRimmon and Patricia Hradek. She was a cherished grandmother to Rosie (Tim) Nunez, Michele McRimmon, Jayme McRimmon, Anthony Hradek, and Mike Hradek. Vera was a beloved great-grandmother to Hailey Nunez, Emma Nunez, Jayden McRimmon-Vega, and Samantha McRimmon-Vega. She is also survived by her brothers Dave Rodriguez, Jesus Alonzo, and Abel Alonzo.

Vera was a devout Catholic known for her loving nature, being a great listener, and her fabulous cooking skills. She always brought joy and warmth to those around her and was known for her honesty. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing for family will take place on Tuesday, February 20th at 10:00 am, followed by a friends and family viewing at 10:30 am, and then a Rosary at 11:00am at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral, and Receptions located at 901 South Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado, 80226 who are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

On Wednesday, February 21st, Vera will be received at Annunciation Catholic Church at 10:00am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00am. The graveside service will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
