Verne F. Brecheisen

In loving memory of a man who was and continues to be our hero. Verne "Fred" Brecheisen went home to our Heavenly Father on October 24, 2010.

Fred was born in Lyndon, KS on January 19, 1942. Fred went onto enlist in the United States Air Force. During his enlistment he met his wife Joanne in May of 1963, whom he would marry on November 3, 1963. From this great love two children were born, Christy and Freddy Brecheisen. To him family was his life. Fred enjoyed many hobbies, but fishing was one of his favorites. I know he would of wanted us to share one of his last fishing stories. He traveled to Kansas recently to visit with some of his family one last time. During this trip he fished at his sister's pond. He caught an 18 pound 33 inch catfish. His sister didn't even know they had any fish that size in the pond. All we know is that GOD allowed him to have this one last big adventure.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Doris Brecheisen. He is survived by his loving wife Joanne Brecheisen; two children, Christy Kirby and Freddy Brecheisen; two brothers, Leroy Brecheisen and Jim Brecheisen; one sister, Linda Crettol; and three grandchildren, Ryan Kirby, Meggan Fisher, and Cody Kirby.

Rest in Peace
