Victor Mares, 75, of Denver, passed away November 20, 2020. He was born August 6, 1945 in Dawson, New Mexico, the son of Benafacio and Jenny (Torres) Mares.
He was a hard working man, never missed a day of work over the 48 years, working in plastic manufacturing. He worked 30 of those years on the night shift that he supervised. In his younger years, Victor worked in cast iron and brick.
Victor was a generous man that gave from his heart in material and through his acts of love. His grandchildren and great-granddaughter were life to him. Victor and Hope, his wife, had two sons and two daughters and raised two of their grandchildren as their own.
Victor was a protestant, then met Hope, a catholic. He converted to Catholicism and would not miss mass on Sunday because of his love for the church and especially the eucharist.
He was a devoted and loving husband, and father of four children, twelve brothers and sisters, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He touched many lives - friends, co-workers and neighbors. He will be greatly missed.
