Violet DeJulio was born in Denver, Colorado on June 23, 1929, at her parents' home in North Denver's area known as "Little Italy". Her parents, Loreto and Virginia, had immigrated from Italy and started a large family that included 4 boys (Harry, Robert, Jimmy, Nick) and 4 girls (Pauline, Rose, Emma, Violet). She also had another brother named Nick who died at age 5 and another sister named Rose who died at birth. Violet attended Beech Court Elementary, Skinner Junior High, and North High School.
After high school, Violet worked for Columbia Savings. From there, she went to Security Pacific Mortgage and finally The Associates Mortgage Company. When not working, she liked to listen to Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, and Perry Como.
Violet loved animals and was a proud supporter of the ASPCA. She also enjoyed golf and tennis. As was the rest of her family, Violet was a loyal supporter of The Denver Broncos and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Violet's surviving family includes numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, one great-great niece, and cousins. She will be remembered for both her willingness to help and her generosity. Violet will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter in Violet's memory
