Virginia Ann Guss

May 24, 1938 — August 7, 2022

Virginia Ann Guss (Kansas nickname "Ginger")

Virginia was born May 24, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas she was a cute little baby that kept those good looks for the rest of her life.

Virginia attended private schools in Kansas where she excelled and was well educated. She was married in Kansas and to this union a beautiful baby girl was born, Regina Ann Jordan. This young family later moved to Denver, Colorado.

Life happens and as time passed Virginia was remarried to Bennie Guss Sr. she then became the mother to a blended family two young girls, two young boys and three older step daughters. You never know where God is going to place you so just be ready.

Virginia loved kids and she loved animals. With plenty of children she had plenty of animals and pets. Pretty Bill is what she called him, a bird flying throughout the house that would land on you at any moment. The Dog Toby, the Cat Bojack, frogs, and fish… Everyone loved the rabbits named Henry and Henrietta. These two rabbits were unique; everything was okay until Henry had a litter of rabbits! Well, yes the names had to be switched, Henry became Henrietta. Once Virginia found a baby squirrel on the ground and she used a baby bottle to feed it until it was grown up and healthy. She just had a way with animals.

Katie recalled, "Mama could sew; she made our clothes for school. She also sewed pants for the boys".
Nina enjoys remembering how Virginia could dance in her younger days and how she loved music; one of her favorite recording artist was Lou Rawls.

Through it all the greatest love of all has been Jesus Christ. As a young woman in Denver, Virginia worshipped at Union Baptist Church, John T Walker was her Pastor, She loved the Lord. Her latter days she worshipped at Life By Design Ministries, Rev. Peter Taffe is her Pastor. Hebrews 13:8 NKJV Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Virginia we thank God for your life and all you have done God watched over you and your legacy.

Preceded in death by: Husband Bennie Guss Sr., Daughter Betty Guss, Son Alan Guss, Son Bennie Guss Jr. Virginias heart was broken this year March 22, 2022 when her beloved Daughter Regina Passed away. (She was still in mourning)
