Virginia (Ginny) Marie Hogan was one of three children born to James and Jean Hogan on April 26, 1949 in Denver, Colorado. She was the middle child to Mike, her older brother and Judy, her younger sister.
Ginny attended Saint Francis Catholic School, Kunsmiller Jr High, and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1967. She then attended Mesa University in Grand Junction for two years. Ginny worked for the Denver Public Schools in various administration positions. After an early retirement, she had various part time jobs.
Ginny was a caring, protective and loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her loyalty to family and others that she cared about was unwavering. Her love and bond to her parents was reflected in her dedication and caring for them as they aged and needed assistance. The whole family are so thankful for the love and attention that she provided them.
Ginny was passionate about Music. She had an extensive collection of Albums that she kept in impeccable condition. Although not entirely, most of her collection was R&B and Jazz of the 60's and 70's. Going
to live concerts was a favorite past-time. Ginny also had a deep connection with the ocean. She loved the feeling of solitude and calm that the sounds of the waves provided and could spend hours sitting on a beach immersed in the comfort of those times.
Ginny had two favorite sports; high school basketball and professional baseball. When she worked for DPS, She was often called upon to help keep score or assist with cheerleader activities. She followed the Colorado Rockies closely, attending games with Mom who was well into her 90's. She also enjoyed trips to Blackhawk with her mother. They loved the fact that they, on many occasions, would have a free and very tasty buffet luncheon, play the slots and leave with the money they came with and then some!
Ginny passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at
