Vita M. Dardano

October 31, 1921 — June 23, 2020

Vita Marie Dardano 98, of Denver passed peacefully Tuesday, June 23 of a non-COVID-19 illness. Vita was born October 31,1921 in Pocatello, Idaho to Antonio and Lucille (Urbana) Guido. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank. Together they had six children; Donna, Dianna, Larry, Phyllis (Joseph), Mark and Melba, twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Vita was a stay-at-home mother, but she always generated a small income doing many things: ironing clothes, giving perms, baking and decorating cakes (which blossomed into a small business). At twelve years old she started showing her artistic talents. She would pencil draw all the movie stars from her generation on an 8 x 10 pieces of paper. Little did she know, those sketches would be framed and placed in numerous family homes as collectible art. As she got older she would transpire a black & white photo to a beautiful oil-painted master piece. They became priceless.

In her early 50's, Vita ventured out into the working world. She worked in an adoption facility caring for newborn babies, she did sales work for RCA and ran the bakery's at the Del Farm Grocery Stores. Then, Vita was hired working the concessions at ARA, which she loved! She was making money, laughing and socializing with customers. She also encouraged all her daughters to work there part time. She loved putting on a crisp white shirt, black slacks and a bow tie. Then off to work at the Denver Auditorium Theatre. She loved the benefits of enjoying
the Broadway shows that passed through Denver. There is not one person that crossed Vita Marie's path that didn't love and adore her. She showed her family determination, strength, morals, loyalty and always unconditional love.
Vita Dardano will truly be missed but will remains as love in everyone's heart.
