Wallace H. Green was 76 years old, a native of Virginia and Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was born the fourth child of Hubert and Beulah Green, both preceded him in death as well as his brother, William Green. He was educated at Newsome Park Elementary, George Washington Carver Junior High, and George Washington Carver High School and graduated in 1964. In 1966 he met Mary Louise Oliver and they were married for 54.8 years. After their union he fathered two children. He served 4 years in the military before settling in Colorado and worked at Ralston Purina for 35 years. He retired in 2006.
Wallace died in the comfort of his home while receiving hospice care, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Mary; two children; Tinika Beauchemin and Alvin Green (Stacey); his brother Jefferson Green (Gloria), two sisters; Gwendolyn Marie Washington and Ernestine Bryd, four grandchildren; Anissa Green, Angelo Green, Analyssa Green and Cenika Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wallace will always be remembered by our family and relatives as a loving and devoted husband and father whose steadfast strength and love was the backbone in keeping our family together. He meant the world to us and with his guidance and faith in Christ molded a strong and happy family.
He loved working with his hands and could make and fix most anything. In his latter years he took an interest in golfing and did some traveling. We will never forget the family vacations we had together.
His friends will remember him for the kindness and support he gave them in their time of need. They will also remember his willingness to be available to them, asking nothing in return but their ongoing friendship which he cherished so dear.
Wallace's love and strength of character will be missed greatly by all and we have been made better by having known him. We take this opportunity to give back to God one of His many precious gifts, and we all look forward to seeing him in a better place and time.
Daddy, we love you and there will always be a special place in our hearts for you.
Love, The Family
