Walter D. Ellison, 72, of Lakewood, passed away August 13, 2018.

He was born December 9, 1945 in Bozeman, Montana, the son of Oliver and Laura Mae (Stinnett) Ellison.

He attended Leysin American School in Leysin, Switzerland. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1968.

On November 30, 1968, he married Patricia Ann Stults.

Walter worked for Univac in Minnesota. He then went on to work for the family business, CYMA, Inc (retail thrift stores).

Walter loved to ski. He also loved anything related to astronomy and the night sky, chasing comets and eclipses. Walter's other passion was computers. Walter loved to learn anything and verbally spar with his family and friends. Above all, Walter enjoyed spending time with his entire family.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 49 3/4 years, Patricia Ellison; daughter, Whitney Lynn Ellison; son, Oliver Thomas (Diane) Ellison; two sisters, Bonnie Ellison and Patricia McCully Ellison; three brothers, Orlo (Leehyang) Ellison, Todd (Fiona) Ellison and Titus Ellison; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Emmaline, Amelia, Abigail, Asher and Theophilus and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
