Charles Warren Paddock was born on June 26, 1933. His parents were Charles Arthur Paddock and Elsie Rebecca Ramstetter. He began his journey in Denver, Colorado and was very proud of his family ties to Colorado and especially the mountains. He preferred to be called Warren and from the beginning he was a young man who knew what mattered to him most, with a very definite mind of his own. Some might even say he could be stubborn from time to time.
He played sports through high school, lettering in football, track, basketball and baseball. He was on the 1950 Westminster Warriors team that was the State Basketball Champions that year. His trophies still hang in the trophy cabinets at Westminster High School. He loved playing sports and he played them with such determination that at one time or another he broke all 10 fingers, some even more than once.
57 years ago or so, he made a very life defining decision, when he stopped to pick-up the crazy redhead in a rainstorm. Anne Keough was married to Warren on February 14, 1953. They have 4 children, Kerry and her husband Bill, Rebecca, Chris and his wife LuAnn and Lorri and her husband Kevin. From this small group he then received 13 Grandchildren: Carl and his wife Kacey, Amber and her husband Ryan, Joseph and his wife Amy, Jimmy, Jonothan and his wife Amanda, Jacob and his wife Toni, Jared, Charlie, Will, Amanda, Deserae, Jennifer and her husband Jeremy and Brian. He has 7 Great-Grandchildren: Coleby, Caleb, Belle, Nara, Tori, Jayden and Noah. His Great-Grandchildren all love their "Popo and Nana" and they also have 6 Granddogs, Buddy, Max, Nila, Seattle, Boston, and KC; 3 grandcats, Thomas, Chris LeDeaux, and Lacey. There are so many extended family members that although not born into the family, have become a very important part of Popo's life and adopted this lovable "Grumpy Old Man" as much as his family does.
There are few things he loves to do as much as he loves to fish. Many of his family's memories are centered around fishing trips. His idea of a perfect birthday is out on a lake or a river, with his favorite fishing pole, a cold beer and his Son and Grandsons in competition to catch the biggest and most fish. He even went deep-sea fishing in Florida with his Grandson, a true Old Man of the Sea.
The world will miss this wonderful, loving man, with a quick smile and a big hearty laugh that warmed and completed all of our lives.
Our memories will have to keep him with us until we are all together again in Heaven. God has blessed us truly with this wonderful man.
