Wayne married Janice King in May 1959 and they became members of the Free Methodist Church in Des Moines and then Urbandale where he was active and served many years as a Sunday school teacher. They raised their three children Vicki, Brett, and Bryan in Des Moines and West Des Moines. Wayne is remembered by his children as being very active and present in their lives.

Wayne was co-owner of Professional Offset Printing in the 1970s and 80s and always worked in the printing and printing sales industry. He accompanied many Scouts to Philmont, NM and was instrumental in his son, Brett, becoming an Eagle Scout and his son, Bryan, becoming a Life Scout. Wayne loved bowling, camping and fishing.

In 1990, Wayne and Jan moved to Colorado and two of their adult children shortly followed them. Wayne and Jan were long time members of the Denver First Church of the Nazarene and he served as an usher for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Rena, and in-laws, Howard and Kathryn King of Des Moines, Iowa.

Wayne will be missed for his love of his family and his sense of humor, teasing, and joking personality.
